The Display Screen in Use

Currently screens use an iPad and its possible to use up to 5 EXTRA screens in total. Screens use colour codes to indicate the current real time state of any order and location as follows:

GREY

Grey items are reported and shown as the 'newest' entries and this is a normal state for an entry.

AMBER

The amber items are orders that are nearing the selected target times set by the system (adjustable) and indicate a 'nearing completion' time.

RED

Red indicates customers that have been waiting longer than the allocated serve time expected and are always at the top of the wait list showing table number and wait time so far.

Table Tracker might look like a complex solution, but in reality it's operation is simple. Here is information about how it all works on-site:

CLOUD INTEGRATION

LRS servers store collected data that can be used for reports or downloaded for further processing on your equipment with common formats.

Wi-Fi

Wireless is used on-site to ensure a seamless connectivity between LRS components and other high technology.

ZIGBEE

RFID and Zigbee technology is used for customer and other infrastructure to ensure perfect lossless communications every time.

Components of the TT System

Examine below all of the components used to create a complete tracking solution, some are required, while others are optional depending on the exact layout and style of operation in the  establishment.

TRACKER APPLICATION

The Table Tracker application is custom developed for an iPad system. The iPad connects wirelessly and is very reliable. Up to 5 iPad's can be used at once. Larger low cost screens are also available. LRS Connect can also run Table Tracker on any PC with a browser.

SIL-Z TRACKER DEVICE

SIL-Z Tracker unit works with RFID and Zigbee protocols. The unit can read tags under table, and transmit the read data over a Mesh Network back to the user interface. Data is updated immediately. Start, Clear or Tag info ensures the system is updated constantly.

WATERPROOF TAG SHEETS

The RFID tag sheets that are used under all tables are custom made and are completely waterproof. Once applied under-table there are no batteries or any other maintenance required and tags will operate without any other maintenance operation being carried out.

OPERATING DOCKS

Starting and Clearing Docks are usually used when entering the Tracker in to the system. Start the Tracker and it is shown immediately on the system. Similarly, when food has been delivered a clearing unit is used to remove the order after completion off the system.

SIL-Z TRACKER CHARGING BASE

The SIL-Z Tracker charging base is used to 'stack' the Trackers vertically so that the 'footprint' is very small in the booking area. Trackers are constantly on charge when not in use to ensure that they have a very long operating period when being used by customers.

OPTIONAL TABLE DOCKS

For restaurants that don't mind having a dock on the table top. These docks reduce system costs dramatically and are one of the ways to create a low cost Table Tracking system. If the restaurant is smaller in size and the budget is tight up to 3 Trackers per dock work fine.

PCU CLEARING DEVICE

One way of ensuring very accurate data is by using a PCU clearing device. Staff carry one in their pocket and once food is delivered the Tracker is 'cleared' by swiping it over the PCU device. This shows exact time of food delivery completion.

ZIGBEE REPEATER

Repeaters are part of the Mesh Network and are an integral important part of the Tracking system. It is important to have adequate repeaters for a fully loaded Table Tracker system otherwise errors can occur. We advise how many you need based on required coverage.

OPTION CUSTOM TABLE TOP MATS

Optionally there are custom mats available, with company logo or other designs. Some mats are waterproof and can be used outdoors. There are also mats similar to a 'dock' can be placed on table tops so that table tags are not used in the restaurant.

THE LRS GATEWAY

Our LRS Gateway is the 'glue' that connects two systems together. This 'gateway' allows Wi-Fi and Zigbee Mesh Networks to operate flawlessly. Everything goes through this gateway, whether data, traffic or other information. It's a custom device that uses LRS firmware internally and you need just one per system.

YOUR ROUTER OR OURS?

The Wi-Fi network router creates the Wi-Fi network on-site. The gateway connects to the router and in turn the router connects to the cloud and LRS servers. It is important to ensure that company network data is not allowed on this network so there is no overloading or data speed reduction when the Tracker system is in use.
